This poet is very famous in Pakistan and India and people listen to him very carefully and want his words very much.


The first 1 is Docter allama Muhammad iqbal 

He was born in 9 November 1877

Sialkot, Punjab, British India

(present-day Punjab, Pakistan)


And died in 21 April 1938 (aged 60)

Lahore, Punjab, British India

(present-day Punjab, Pakistan) 


Born and raised in Sialkot, Punjab in an ethnic Kashmiri Muslim family, Iqbal studied in Sialkot and Lahore, and thereafter in England and Germany. In England he did his B.A. that made him eligible to practice Law as an advocate. Although he established a law practice after returning, he concentrated primarily on writing scholarly works on politics, economics, history, philosophy, and religion. He is best known for his poetic works, including Asrar-e-Khudi – which brought a knighthood, Rumuz-e-Bekhudi, and the Bang-e-Dara. In Iran, where he is known as Iqbāl-e Lāhorī (Iqbal of Lahore), he is highly regarded for his Persian works.


Iqbal was a strong proponent of the political and spiritual revival of Islamic civilisation across the world, but in particular in South Asia.

Mir was born in Agra, India (then called Akbarabad and ruled by the Mughals) in August or February 1723.His grandfather had migrated from Hejaz to Hyderabad, then to Akbarabad or Agra. His philosophy of life was formed primarily by his father, Mir Abdullah, a religious man with a large following, whose emphasis on the importance of love and the value of compassion remained with Mir throughout his life and imbued his poetry. Mir's father died while the poet was in his teens, and left him some debt. Mir left Agra for Delhi a few years after his father's death, to finish his education and also to find patrons who offered him financial support.


Mir lived much of his life in Mughal Delhi. Kuchha Chelan, in Old Delhi was his address at that time. However, after Ahmad Shah Abdali's sack of Delhi each year starting 1748, he eventually moved to the court of Asaf-ud-Daulah in Lucknow, at the ruler's invitation. Distressed to witness the plundering of his beloved Delhi, he gave vent to his feelings through some of his couplets.

Chaudhary Abu Alasr Hafeez Jalandhari was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, British India on 14 January 1900 in Arain Family. His father, Shams-ud-Din, was a Hafiz-e-Qur'an. Jalandhari initially studied in a mosque school and later joined a local school. He only received formal education until the seventh grade.He had a natural liking with poetry.He became the disciple of Maulana Qadir Gharami.


After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, Jalandhari migrated to Lahore in the new state of Pakistan.


From 1922 to 1929, Jalandhari remained the editor of a few monthly magazines namely, Nonehal, Hazar Dastaan, Teehzeeb-e-Niswan, and Makhzin. His first collection of poems Nagma-e-Zar was published in 1935. After World War II, he worked as the director of the Song Publicity Department. During this same time he wrote several songs.

Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan


He was born in 27 December 1797

He was Died in 15 February 1869 (aged 71)

Gali Qasim Jaan, Ballimaran, Chandni Chowk, Delhi, British India.


Mirza Ghalib was born in Kala Mahal, Agra into a family of Mughals who moved to Samarkand (in modern-day Uzbekistan) after the downfall of the Seljuk kings. His paternal grandfather, Mirza Qoqan Baig, was a Seljuq Turk who had immigrated to India from Samarkand during the reign of Ahmad Shah (1748–54). He worked in Lahore, Delhi and Jaipur, was awarded the sub-district of Pahasu (Bulandshahr, UP) and finally settled in Agra, UP, India. He had four sons and three daughters. Mirza Abdullah Baig and Mirza Nasrullah Baig were two of his sons.



Mirza Abdullah Baig (Ghalib's father) married Izzat-ut-Nisa Begum, an ethnic Kashmiri, and then lived at the house of his father-in-law. He was employed first by the Nawab of Lucknow and then the Nizam of Hyderabad, Deccan. He died in a battle in 1803 in Alwar and was buried at Rajgarh (Alwar, Rajasthan). Back then, Ghalib was a little over 5 years of age. He was then raised by his Uncle Mirza Nasrullah Baig Khan, but in 1806, Nasrullah fell off an elephant and died from related injuries.

Ehsan-ul-Haq


He was born in 2 February 1914

He was Died in 22 March 1982 (aged 68)

Danish (birth name: Ehsan-ul-Haq) was born in Maulanan मोलानान Kandhla, a small town in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, India. He belonged to a poor family and he could not continue his studies due to financial reasons but still learned the Arabic and Persian languages on his own. His father's name was Danish Ali.Later he migrated to Lahore and settled there permanently. He struggled very hard to earn his living. He worked as an ordinary labourer for years in odd jobs,finally becoming a poet of excellence. His autobiography, Jahan-i-Danish, is a classic and has inspired many people. Danish has written more than 80 books and hundreds of articles about and including poetry, prose, linguistics, philology, autobiographies and the famous interpretation of "Diwan-e-Ghalib". Much of his literary work is still unpublished .

Parveen Shakir Syed


He was born in24 November 1952

Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan


He was Died in 26 December 1994 (aged 42)

Islamabad, Pakistan


Parveen Shakir started writing at a very young age. She wrote both prose and poetry, contributed columns in Urdu newspapers, and a few articles in English dailies. Initially, she wrote under the pen-name "Beena".


After teaching for nine years, she joined the Civil Service of Pakistan and worked in the customs department. In 1986, she was appointed second secretary of the Central Board of Revenue (now Federal Board of Revenue) in Islamabad, Pakistan.


In 1976, Parveen Shakir published her first volume of poetry Khushbu (Fragrance) to great acclaim. She was awarded one of the highest honours of Pakistan, the Pride of Performance, for her outstanding contributions to literature.She subsequently published other volumes of poetry including Sad-barg (Marsh Marigold) in 1980, and Khud Kalāmi (Soliloquy) and Inkār (Denial) in 1990. These poetry books are collected in Māh-e-Tamām (Full Moon). She also published a collection of her newspaper columns, titled Gosha-e-Chashm (Corner of the Eye). Kaf-e-Āina (The Mirror's Edge) was released posthumously with works from her diaries and journals.

Jaun Elia was born as Syed Sibt-e-Asghar Naqvi on 14 December 1931 in Amroha, British India.His father, Shafiq Elia, was a scholar of literature and astronomy well-versed in the Arabic, English, Persian, Hebrew and Sanskrit languages, and who corresponded with leading intellectuals like Bertrand Russell.He was the youngest of his siblings. Rais Amrohvi was his elder brother. Indian film director Kamal Amrohi was his first cousin.


Described as a child prodigy, he was initially educated at the Syed-ul-Madaris in Amroha, a madrassah associated with the Darul Uloom Deoband, despite his family being Shia.


Being a communist, Elia opposed the partition of India.[Elia once remarked on Pakistan that "this was the mischief of boys from alighar However, he migrated to Pakistan in 1957, and decided to live in Karachi. Poet Pirzada Qasim said.

Syed Nasir Raza Kazmi


He was born in8 December 1925

Ambala, Punjab, British India


He was Died in 2 March 1972 (aged 46)

Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan



Kazmi emigrated from Ambala, India to Lahore, Pakistan in August 1947. In Lahore, he worked as the editor of the literary magazines Auraq Nau and Khayal. He also worked as a staff editor for Radio Pakistan, Lahore. He was frequently thought of as a melancholic poet, though most of his poetry is based on romantic happiness and hope.


Nasir Kazmi was influenced by the romantic poetry of Akhtar Sheerani and also took guidance in his poetry from the poet Hafeez Hoshiarpuri. He also had great admiration for the poetry of Mir Taqi Mir.


The ninth one is 


Faiz Ahmad Faiz


He was born in13 February 1911

Kala Qader, Narowal District, Punjab, British India (present-day Faiz Qader, Punjab, Pakistan)


He was Died in 20 November 1984 (aged 73)

Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan


Faiz was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature and won the Lenin Peace Prize.


Born in Punjab, British India, Faiz went on to study at Government College and Oriental College. He went on to serve in the British Indian Army. After Pakistan's independence, Faiz became the editor to The Pakistan Times and a leading member of the Communist Party before being arrested in 1951 as an alleged part of conspiracy to overthrow the Liaquat administration and replace it with a left-wing government.


Faiz was released after four years in prison and went on to become a notable member of the Progressive Writers' Movement and eventually an aide to the Bhutto administration, before being self-exiled to Beirut. 


The last one is 


Syed Ahmad Shah Ali


He was born in 12 January 1931

Kohat, NWFP, British India (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan)


He was Died in 25 August 2008 (aged 77)

Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan



Faraz was of Syed background.His brother is Masood Kausar, an ex Governor of KP. Faraz moved to Peshawar with his family. He studied at Edwardes College, Peshawar and received his Master's degree in Urdu and Persian from Peshawar University.During his college life, the two prominent poets Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Ali Sardar Jafri influenced him and became Faraz's role models.
